Yup, I've wanted a Composite Superman for a long time now. Definitely would have preferred him over Batzarro.

Nope. I'd rather have Batzarro than that Silver Age acid trip.
Way too goofy for me.

I would have rather had a character that mattered.

I like him. Not as much as I would have liked Mera, Aqualad, Prometheus, Vixen, Ice (this year), Cassie Wonder Girl, Spoiler, Batwoman, Heatwave, Trickster, Circe, Indigo-1, or another couple dozen others. Certainly more than Phantom Stranger and Constantine.

j1h15233 wrote: I would have rather had a character that mattered. Ditto! And if you feel like reading a rant... For me Batzarro was a one time, one note character that doesn't really hold any post "Batman/Superman: Vengeance" relevancy. Plus stylistically, his face sculpt appears to follow McGuinness' art style; which would make the DC Direct Bizarros a better fit than the kenner inspired Horsemen Bizarro. That is, if you're thinking World's Worst Duo and stuff. Either way, and in my humble opinion, the real tragedy here is the fact that we are still missing the guy that made it all possible, the star of the show and a true Bona Fide Superman Villain of many decades... Mr. Mxyzptlk!!! Granted, we all know the Mattel copy boys can't type their way out of a 3 letterword spelling bee. But when is enough, enough? I mean, think of all the kiddie & adult lines Superman's been a part of, all of which would've been perfect vehicles for a Mxyzptlk figure (i.e. JLU, Infinite Heroes, Action-League, Super-Friends, Brave and the Bold, Heroes-World, Imaginext, DC Super-Heroes, DCUC, DC Unlimited, Target Justice League, Worlds Greatest, DCUC vs MoTUC, All-Star, etc.) Hell, at this point, I would've welcomed a C&C Mxyzptlk figure ala Puck or Hit Monkey. But you know, it's Mattel. And it's a brand new, 100% "tool'd" figure. So if you want him, the only way to get him is through a $75 dollar Pre-Order. But hey, at least they made Gleek for free!

I talked with ToyGuru about some of my own personal wants, like classic Trickster and Chronos...he told me the paint apps are just too much for those kinds of characters, like Ragman and Rainbow Raider...but he hasn't given up hope, as he wants to see them made as well.
But I can assume that anyone with complicated costumes are gonna be lower on the list.

Maybe giving us a list of characters like Ragman, Rainbow Raider, Trickster, etc. as "these are what can possibly be on the table if we hit Tier 2" would be more incentive-izing for potential subscribers.

Wait... is Toy Guru saying that blue stripes on a plastic orange body with Spectre/Robin booties, Alan Scott sleeves and a Red Tornado Cape is too expensive for a $23 dollar subscription service figure!?!?!?!? (Man, I want to curse!!! Can I curse??? 'Cause I really want to curse!) Whatever. Now I want what's left of DCUC to fail! Don't get me wrong, they have given us some great figures. But if Mattel is going to sit on the 6" highly-articulated license for two years and not offer anything worth our money... well, other than suited bodies and kiddie figures. Then maybe it's time they lost it, and/or put a smarter person in charge. One that's more concerned about running things right and satisfying costumer wants. Just my 2¢.

Yeah, Mattel has treated us real bad. 20 waves of Classics, 3 five-packs, a bunch of two-packs, a Legion set, about 5 other lines producing compatible(ish) characters, and 26 confirmed sub figures. But yeah, no, let's get NECA to "do it right". I'll sign that petition once I get up off the floor from laughing so hard.

I'm just speaking from experience at retail with Neca. Like I said I have never had a problem finding all the Gremlins in a series when they are released. And I'm sure that line is a much lower production run than anything mattel does.
Speaking from experience with mattel, terrible case packs & shoddy distribution, there has been figures released that I never even saw at retail. From past experiences with mattel I know if a figure comes out & I can't find it within a reasonable amount of time, goto ebay. One thing good about the scalpers is usually when a figure is first released they aren't as high priced. It's not until later when they find out about poor distribution, etc that the price sky rockets.
