I love Watchmen and DCUC, but this would make Mattel more money than both of those subs combined. Start off with a 6 inch Keaton and Nicholson 2 pack, then single figures based on the movies, cartoons and comics. Especially figures based on Elseworlds. Also produce one Batmobile per year for the elite members of the sub.

I'm astonished that Mattel hasn't done this already.

If Mattel release a 6 inch Keaton and Nicholson 2 pack in it. I would buy it in a heartbeat!

I respectfully disagree. For a couple of reasons. Remember when Mattycollector offered up the Nolan Movie Masters Dark Knight figures, which were also available at retail? They all sold out on the site within 24 hours.

Batman continues to be the #1 selling toy and comic book that DC Comics has in their arsenal. On Matty's Q&A, they even admitted that the reason Batman gets so many toy lines was that he was "just that popular." The character is a cash cow, much more so than the Watchmen or even the rest of the DC Universe.

I don't see how Matty could lose offering up quality Batman figures, displays and vehicles as a sub on their website. Tell me you don't want a 1940's bat-head Batmobile to go with your Golden Age Batman and Robin figures. Or a diorama display of crime alley with a light up lamp post? This isn't stuff for "moms and kids" and the big box stores.

I don't want either of those haha. Sorry to keep raining on your parade but there aren't enough people to support this sub, even if it's Batman and there's no money in it for Mattel. It would be the equivalent of the Miami Heat sending Lebron to the d-league as long as every fan of the d-league squad agreed to season tickets at a higher price.

It's about cost efficiency. I love Batman, but I don't think I'd buy a sub at this point because I already have a ton of Batman. The sub would have to be nothing but obscure characters...not sure if that would sell as well as you hope. And then the items you are mentioning? A Batmobile or some diorama? I don't think those are reasonable things Matty would make, and the cost would be crazy.

Ha.
I was glad when they killed her, and I hope she never shows up in the New 52 (of course she may have, as I'm a bit behind on the Batman books).

Movie Masters 1989 Michael Keaton Batman
Anarky (Breyfogle design not BOTB)
Hugo Strange
The Reaper
KGBeast
Movie Masters Lewis Wilson 1940's Serial Batman with ray gun
Movie Masters 1989 Nicholson Joker
Firefly
Batman: Holy Terror (Batman figure)
Movie Masters Batman Returns Catwoman
Golden Age Doctor Death
Golden Age Mad Monk

Special Sub Exclusive: Leviathan

Yearly Vehicle: 1940's Golden Age Batmobile or Batman: Holy Terror Batmobile

(Judging from the cost of the Movie Masters 1966 Batmobile on sale right now, the cost would range from $60.00 to $100.00)

Holy Terror Batmobile, huh?

That's a pretty out-there request, but one I'd readily jump on board for.
I'd have no interest in more Batman figures, I already have one, but oh boy would I be in for a Batmobile every year.

If there ever was a Bat-sub, the only one I'd want would be the one Stew suggested. I guess. *shrugs shoulders* I have no clue who the vast majority of the characters Batfink listed are. :|

Don't forget Stephanie Brown school uniform, Stephanie Brown training clothes, Stephanie Brown Picnic at The Beach, Stephanie Brown.....

Is Penguin seriously still peg-warming, even with these on Clearance? Granted, my city never gets the generous distribution so there's never much out there, but all the Unlimited figures eventually sold through really well including Penguin and IJ Batman. I suppose if your store got tons of cases, Penguin might still be hanging around.

As much as I love seeing more characters, the civilian characters just don't get me excited. They should have continued getting Batman characters out with a balance of retail and subscription, but that's over now. They couldn't get Batman Beyond and Robin to retail.

I like the idea of a Bat sub so that I can finish off the Bat side of my DCUC. Just not the movie versions, since they doesn't match my DCUC figs. If 2 out of 12 figs is from movie, I am okay with it.

89 Batman and Joker would be the only movie ones Id want. Hell you can even pass off the 89 Batman as the look he had in the No Mans Land saga
