I got to see the Man of Steel SDCC exclusive up close, and it looks much better in person.
I know a lot of collectors like to open their figures, but I'm a sucker for packaging, and the light-up feature in the Man of Steel packaging is really cool. Pressing a button in the front of the diorama makes Superman's eyes light up, then a split-second later, another spot near Zod's feet lights up with a sizzling sound effect. It's a great feature.
Out of package, these figures are probably not worth $50. But the diorama has some nice extras that make it worth a second look.

That right there is why I will never see this movie. As long as movie-makers continue to spit in the face of comic collectors by getting even the smallest of details wrong, while continuing to greedily grab for our dollar, I'm out. Ya know...there have been times in the actual comics when Lois was a redhead!!

Noel Neill was a redhead when she played Lois on the 1950s TV series "Adventures of Superman."

Yep... and I believe in the old Fleischer toons she may have been a redhead (not sure, would have to look it up). I do know she had been a redhead in much of the comics (if my memory serves me correctly, she was a redhead at least in the 80's and 90's...was she a readhead when they married??).

Meh. Auburn, maybe, but not a redhead. I always thought Lois had dark hair.

Red/Auburn or whatever... they've drawn her with this color hair over different time periods and she's also (mostly) been drawn with jet-black hair (think Superman The Animated Series). I fail to see how someone could say that "movie-makers are getting even the smallest details wrong" when talking about a character's hair color that has changed much over the years. Not like there is a definitive hair color for Lois. Heck, Bruce Wayne had Jet black hair and blue eyes, but I don't think Christian Bale has either of those?! Now if they cast a person with blond hair to play Superman then that would be blatantly wrong. Oliver Queen is very much a blonde haired guy in comics and cartoons, but the guy playing him on ARROW is more of a brown haired guy than blonde. Just my two cents...

New cases arrived at my store. Not sure the exact breakdown, but apparently the non-key Superman, Faora, Jor-El and black suit Superman.

Saw something weird at TRU today: a Zod I haven't seen before.
Zod in shackles. He's in the non-armored suit with plastic chains around his neck and arms, with a scar down the side of his head. Nobody new was listed on the back of the card. Anybody else seen this?
I have a pic on my phone but I don't know how to get it onto here. MODS?
