So...I just assumed your real name was Julius Marx. Reading the press release I now realize it isn't, so where did you come up with JM?

prozac(if it's blatantly obvious I will change mine to Polish Moron...wait isn't Polish synonymous for moron?)

I always figured it was an almagam of Julius Schwartz (old-school DC editor on the Superman books) and Marx Toys, an old, now dead brand that made plastic military toys and stuff.

Or perhaps I'm just light-headed from work.

Julius Henry Marx is the real name of Groucho Marx.

(However, there's no truth to the rumor that ToyOtter is the real name of Harpo Marx.)

Acutally... Julius Marx was Groucho Marx's real name. WAAAAY back in 1989 I was performing in the musical "A Day In Hollywood... A Night in The Ukraine" where I was playing Groucho (the premise of the 2nd act was Anton Chekov's 'The Bear' with the Marx Brothers in the main roles). So ,I really threw myself into a LOT of Marx Brothers research and became a HUGE, HUGE fan. That was also about the time I signed up for AOL and wanted a "Marx-ian" name. Just about every version of "Groucho" was taken already, and I didn't want to be GMarx183703, so I went with his given name- Julius.

Then in 95 or so when I started posing on AFT and RTM I just refered to myself as my "screen name"... and then it stuck. And toy folks started calling me that in the "outside" world. So, I just kind of roll with it and answer to both Julius and Daniel.

So there you have it. My secret origin.

Daniel/Julius
