Y'know, an area specifically for folks to show off their work and ask questions of the mighty Kings of Customizing who already frequent these virtual halls.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm planning on posting more of my stuff, but wasn't sure if I should clutter up the main board SpyMagician

no. not just because we don't want Julius' site to get SWAMPED with all those photos, BUT: Seriously, aren't there ENOUGH customizing sites out there? Fwooshnet @ www.fwooshnet.comRTM @ www.toymania.comTNI @ http americandreamcomics com (no www - linkage not working...? just add :// and . ) to name a few. RTM and Joe Acevedo ( www.joeacevedo.com ) also co-host the semi-annual CustomCon, btw. LOTS of cool customs there! just my $.02, Julius, Otter.

A fair point. But as a customizer I actually prefer to post my pics on regular toy boards (normally toymania, but the lack of archiving annoys me.) Custom sites mainly attract customizers and custom fans, while I find that regular collectors often have different observations and opinions that are worth hearing... SpyMagician

Brainlock, We were thinking along the same lines, and there are a lot of other customizing sites out there. However, we're going to add at least one forum for people to show off their customs. Not necessarily to "compete", but so that customizers have the largest possible audience for their work. Customizing is a hobby that we both indulge in, and thoroughly support. So think of us as an additional resource, not a replacement to all the other sites. J.

Yea, a customs forum would be great, and I'm sure Julius's new site alone could attract a lot of good customizers. Hopefully I'll have something new done by the time you get that up since I'd like to have someplace other than the Fwoosh to get customs up. Guys like me that don't have the time to do so much custom work get totally drowned out sometimes.

Thanks for adding the sub-forum, Jason. As far as I'm concerned, you can never have to many venues in which to show off. Sure, there are other places that feature customs, but any toy forum is going to have custom-related postings. Best to have a specific home for them, methinks, so they aren't as likely to get lost in the shuffle.
