Kids will ALWAYS want these core seven members, because there are ALWAYS kids jumping into the series via DVD or reruns on TV. Come on, man, you should know this. Peace, Chip Plus, these figures are actually different from what we've been seeing around for the last few years. I also think it's a great idea. I don't think I can bring myself to pay full price for them, but I probably will grab these guys once they go on clearance. Hey, maybe Mattel will figure they can discontinue the Trinity pack now!

I believe it is just because the 5 POA figures are more aesthetically pleasing and some collectors got into the line too late to acquire them, plain and simple. Personally, GL is the only one I like with the added artic, cuz he can bring his ring hand up to his chest, which I think looks badass, but the rest, can't stand it...especially Flash, Bats and Supes. And I'd kill for a 5 POA Aquaman...I always thought he looked kinda goofy.

Yeah, they do look a little better but I thought they were shorter than the figs now? (Not sure where I heard that) But IMO the 5 POA isn't as good as the more articulated one.

I believe this is Mattel's way of getting a piece of the market back from the eBay.

After taking a closer look at this pack, i think it is worth 25 bucks (if you can find good paint apps) anyways... Flash: is a deeper Red and looks really cool, J'onn: has a different shade of Green and Blue (he matches the show a bit more) he looks awesome, Green Lantern: now has a black suit instead of dark grey color (tho they forgot to paint his ring on ) and his Green is a lighter more on model shade, Hawkgirl: looks great, she is smiling and her colors just stand out more than the others that were released before, Batman: is cool too i actually like his blue costume, Superman: darker and his face is painted very poorly, (so you will want to look for the best paint app for him) Wonder Woman: meh.

This is a pretty exciting find. I was considering resorting to eBay to get the Bats and Supes, since they are the only ones I really wanted, but with this new set, I might as well go ahead and get the whole team.
THANK YOU MATTEL FOR LISTENING!

It seems like only yesterday that I was wishing that I could get my hands on a 5POA Flash. I might pick this up.
It seems that TRU only does these repacks and variants, and has not been gettin any of the newer waves. That is still the case right? No one has seen Barda, Deadshot et all at TRU?

I got this set over a month ago, and finally got around to taking some comparison pictures. Here they are (sorry for the yellow tint). In all pictures, the original release is on the left. Hawkgirl and Wonder Woman are identical to the current JLU releases. Batman: new version is blue, instead of the original's gray Green Lantern: costume is a deeper black, green isn't as bright, and ring is unpainted Martian Manhunter: greens and blues are lighter shades The Flash: red is brighter, though its hard to see in this pic Superman: blue is darker, and flesh tones are darker

Cool, thanks for the pics Hamm. I really wish the Wonder Woman in this pack was the original sculpt like the others, I don't think there has been a reason given why that version wasn't used. If it had been, this set would have been the best re-release ever in the line!!
Its still pretty good though!

Wow. Wonder why they didn't bother to paint John's ring?
