Hey guys, I just threw this together in Photoshop. Really wanted to see how Christian Bale and Brandon Routh would look together. Thanks to Joshua for hosting the pics! Enjoy! Matt aka Iron-Cow http://www.ironcowprod.com

Thanks fellahs!
A lot of people have been complaining about the speedo trunks and tiny s-emblem... these seem to me to be more of design choices to accent certain proportions to make Routh seem taller than he is. I'm not crazy about the belt-buckle, but overall it's really growing on me.
And after seeing the "Superman fight" in Matrix III, cannot WAIT to see how they handle Supes in the film!

Batman has a CLOTH cape Superman has a VINYL / RUBBER / "LEATHER" cape? does that seem BACKWARDS to anyone else? also, wasn't Ken Wahl--I mean, Routh supposed to 'bulk up' for this, like Reeve did? I think Welling would fill out that costume better! The belt buckle doesn't bother me as much as the darker, "blood red" color; smaller, RAISED chest emblem; and the boots do. also, that whole collar area looks wrong. WHO designed this...thing? $5 sez the cape has nothing on the back, either. just a plain (blood) red (pleather) sheet. I can only hope the SR figures don't look as crap as the BatBegins ones do. THAT head is HORRENDOUS! but the film cowl looks GREAT! wtf? Other than that, COOL pic, Matt! Looks like an official promo for a "World's Finest" movie!

Hey guys, Saw this over on the Batman-On-Film boards... Not bad, eh? Although, I probably would have filled in the gap between Bats' legs, just to block the light. Still, sharp looking piece. NOW... we gotta find a high-res version of the TV FLASH outfit, and splice it into here. Anyone have a pic of that? I only found tiny ones online... Matt aka Iron-Cow

Stunning pictures. Gorgeous.
Thanks, Matt!

I'm not crazy about the dark red or the buckle, but it's just nice to see someone in the costume and ready for the screen!

I have to agree with you. The Superman costume is terrible. Not only are the colors inaccurate, what is with the speedo trunks? I don't expect Superman to be in boxer shorts, but those trunks are, well, silly. And the belt buckle is goofy. Why the redundant symbols? Is this a marketing ploy to sell belt buckles? If this is what WB is planning for the movie, I have a bad feeling that it is going to be a dud. What a disappointment. I had high hopes for this and now I am dreading the release. Always wondered how the two would look together. Bats makes Supes look good. Gives the costume credibility. Nice work.

I think it's interesting that people are complaining about the Supes costume as not being accurate, especially when he is standing next to Christian Bale in a Batman costume which is also not comics accurate, yet noone seems to complain.
I for one like the darker color scheme on the Supes costume. Sure, the emblem could be larger and that belt buckle is a little ridiculous, but neither one of these aesthetic choices comes close to ruining for me. Besides, what is important is how it will come out on film, not some publicity photo done for USA Today.

Those are two cool photo manips. Good job.
But that Superman costume still looks like ass. I saw another picture where the lighting is a bit different, so the red comes out a bit more vibrantly, at least on Superman's little teeny tiny man panties, and it looks better that way. The maroon sucks ass. He looks dead. His costume should be in primary colors.
