Got my SDCC Man-Bat, opened it, he's AMAZING! The articulation of the LOTDK Man-Bat but with 4H detail!!!
Haven't heard too much about this in the Forum so I dunno how many people have opened their Man-Bats-- DO IT! Drop what you're doing and OPEN THAT BAD BOY UP!
Is THIS the kind of quality coming down the pipe from Mattel? If so, this line will live forever!!!
THANK YOU MATTEL!!!

Actually, the articulation is BETTER than the LOTDK Man-Bat, I just wanted to convey that he has super-poseable wings unlike the Man-Bat that DC Direct made.

Just wanted to add that I will have a few more Man-Bats for sale to those on the SDCC exclusives list; they are currently in transit to me.
I'll send out PMs to the list when I get them.

did you take him out of the box? I keep him displayed, hanging upside down. I'm afraid if I take him out I won't be able to display him that way again. he is fantastic, tho. with all of the fantastic packaging I even thought about getting him his own pedestal to stand on. (he's huge)

It is a beautiful figure. If he looked the way I think Man-Bat should look and was the right color, I'd have bought one for myself!

That's how I feel; I passed on him at the con because I don't want an albino Man-Bat, even if it means no Man-Bat at all. I'm sure he will show up again somewhere down the line in his proper colors (maybe as a store exclusive?), so I'd rather save that $20 now. Actually, I blew it on a Hellboy exclusive Abe Sapien, but that's neither here nor there....

(he's huge) Cut the clear rubber bands that hold his feet and hands together and pull those out. Now cut with scissors the metal twist tie right in the center. Bend it back over the molded plastic and remove your Man-Bat. To put him back slide him back into place and bend the twist tie back over his mid-section and he won't come out. And just out of curiosity was anyone able to get one of the clear/mid-transformation Man-Bats?

Since it doesn't look like Mattel is going to make the brown version available in the near future and I'm too cheap to pay ebay's prices, I have a back up plan. I don't care much for either DC Direct's or the old LOTDK's versions. When the Ninja Man Bat is available in October from DC Direct's Batman & Son line I'll make a simple conversion. Lose the belts and pouches, paint the pants green and "Viola"! One Kirk Langstrom made to order.
