What! Check this picture out: Can somebody explain this? Why didn't this hit the shelves? If it did, does anybody have it? And why did they use a Polly Pocket with a new head instead? Has anybody else noticed this....

Dont know about it appearing on that or any card backs, but that is the original promo / proto image. I remember seeing that pic of the Supergirl fig from way back when she was first announced.

I just recieved a Wildcat figure via TRU.com, well priced, and that Supergirl picture was on the back of the card, I just scanned it in myself.

That figure was shown at Toy Fair or SDCC along with an articulated Green Arrow and, I believe, Dr. Fate. While the figure does look larger on the cardback (her noggin is still out of proportion) I seem to recall the proto looked about the same size as the released one next to the other figures in the display. Don't have time to look now, but I think I saved the pics...

I am among the minority who is content with the Supergirl/Stargirl figs that we got. JLU looks better with less articulation (imho)

Okay, the pic was easier to find than I thought it'd be... And in this one you can see that Waverider was supposed to have "wilder" hair and a metallic paint job... ...and in this one Copperhead is a much more subdued orange... I didn't have a clear pic, but the jumpsuit Luthor that was shown didn't have the healed feet and it was using the same head from the armored version. Arrow and Fate must have been shown the year before, these pics were in a folder marked 2005.

You can also note that Supergirl has red trim around the collar and sleeves of her shirt instead of black trim.

Arsenio3 wrote: JLU looks better with less articulation (imho) I agree with you based on the existing articulated versions of the main 7. But if we got articluated elbows and knees like the prototypes of Atom, Fate, GA and Brainiac shown here, I'd disagree in a heartbeat!

I too am with this, we reallyyy need new ones, I just use the Hasbro STAS Supergirl for my collection. Like I said before they should just repaint the mattel Batgirl or Catwoman from BTAS and scuplt the new head.

I never knew Dr. Fate was ever shown articulated! Also, I notice that figure has blue boots instead of yellow.
