While browsing ebay I came across some strange auctions for a Riddler and the Wonder Twins on cards.
The sellers are stating that these are made in Kazahstan by a company name INDUSTRIAL TOY WERKS. Does anyone have any info on these ? Are they customs that they are trying to pass as an actual factory made product?

Here are the links

I e-mailed the seller of the wonder twins and asked if they were customs or made
in a factory. Couple of weeks and no
answer.

I'm pretty sure that these are customs

1. Every company that has ever had access to Super Powers has had all the standard characters.

2. A close up of the figures states that it's for 18 and up, this is not a toy and Contents (1) art sculpture

Yes, these are absolutely customs. The problem is, these auctions don't state that fact, and make an effort to explain that these are real figures from overseas. Pretty lame.

Yeah. this guy has been cranking these out and has been selling those for awhile, sumetimes having multiples up at a time. that is the HIGHEST I've ever seen them listed so far. Wondering if that's someone that bought them from the original guy and is now trying to make a buck off the uninformed.

Yeah, when I saw them I also asked the seller to clarify in his auctions that they were customs. When there was no reply I contacted eBay...hopefully they'll do something, but if it holds true to similar circumstances in the past they won't.

Peace,

Chip

Hi, everyone one. My name is Cory, and Ive been reading the forums the last couple of days while waiting for my account to be activated.

On the Wondertwins it has the Toy Werks logo on the bottom right side. Ive been reading the kennersuperpowers.com website as well. They mention that a whole line was made by the Toy Werks company. Not part of the Official lineup from Kenner, but some people still like to purchase them.

Well, the short of it is...they're customs.

It's getting a bit ridiculous, too...

Honestly they are not even that good of customs. The cards are nice though.

I tell you one thing! It has really gotten me jazzed up to start customizing Super Powers again!

Yes, you can certainly post pictures.

I believe there's a Super Powers thread, but since this is the most activity the Vintage Forum here has seen in months feel free to start a new thread.

Peace,

Chip
