I have always wanted a Joes Classics line like DCSH,Marvel Legends. Are they going to ever do one?

That rumor has been around for years and I'm really surprised it hasn't happened. I'm guessing it won't anytime soon, since they are investing so much into the 25th Anniversary line but who knows? Maybe SDcomics or Julius can ask Hasbro during SDCC.

I don't think it's ever really been a rumour as much as it's just been wishful thinking on the part of some fans.

I think that rumor mutated into the 8" Sigma 6 line

Agreed, more like a wishful rumor. But count me first in line if it ever happens, although some of the customs I've seen are infinitely better than any real production line could ever hope to be.

Well... there was some credible inside info that Hasbro was CONSIDERING a Joe Legends line once they acquired the Marvel License as well as a Star Wars Legends line. What's happened now is that they've carried the idea of a detailed, well sculpted, highly articulated figure into the 3 3/4" scale and did the 25th anniversary line. To them, that fills the "need" people were asking for in the "Legends". Give them new, better, well articulated versions of the "classic" characters, as well as keeping everything in the scale that fits most of the rest of the products. Same with Star Wars. They carried higher articulation and better sculpts into the smaller figures to fill the same need. With the releases of the 25th ARAH figures and Saga Legends and other 30th anniversary Star Wars, don't expect 6" Legends style figures anytime soon (if ever). I kind of agree with the concept. This way the figures still fit with all the other product but improve on previous generations with what was asked for. As much as I'd KILL to a line of DoubleDealer quality Joe Legends, I don't see Hasbro ever doing it and they'd NEVER do it to the level of detail and paint quality of his. For those that aren't familiar with his Joe Customs, check them out on his site here... http://www.2dtoys.com/

I agree with you Glaken. I admit that I would be intrigued with Legends-style G.I. Joe and Star Wars, but there really isn't a need for them (I saw the new Joes... WOW! They are like 3-3/4" Legends!), especially after seeing the 25th Anniversary Joes in person. And as Kenner proved long ago, this is the scale to be in if you want playsets and vehicles, which both G.I. Joe and Star Wars are the perfect properties to have these things.

What I hope is that instead of anyone considering making 6" Legends-style Joes or Star Wars, that someone in Hasbro considers making a 3-3/4" Legends-style Marvel, just like the 25th Anniversary Joes. I have no doubt that a Marvel 3-3/4" line could co-exist on the pegs with the current Marvel Legends line. Super-Hero Showdown was fine, but the Hasbro style should be a lot more durable.

I'm hoping Hasbro DOES make a 3 3/4" line of Marvel stuff so they can make playsets and such too. I LOVED the showdown figures, especially the last couple of waves. Once they got better quality going, it died. Oh well, as long as they made a line at least as articulated and well sculpted, I'd eat it up. I actually like 1:18 better than 1:12 in the long run. I wish Hasbro would drop the idea of doing movie or "kids" line in 5" scale and just do them all in 1:18 scale. At least they would fit with SOMETHING else out there. I LOATHE the spidey & ff 5" lines.

geez, those 6" Joe customs are better than anything we'll get in the 3-3/4 scale. Simply amazing!

I hope to god this never happens-- there are too many other scales for star wars at this point-- I dont need to start collecting another one (especially with a higher price point).
