It’s our special Toy Fair episode! So, we do things a little different this time. Half the episode is Daniel and Jason chatting as normal and the other half is Daniel’s first round of Toy Fair interviews.
First up Daniel and Jason discuss what viable licenses are still out there that they would like to see toys made for.
Then Daniel hits the Toy Fair floor for his first round of interviews -
- Joe Ahern of Captain Action Industries talks about resurecting the famous grandfather of the action figure.
- Jim Preziosi and Eric “Cornboy” Mayse of the Four Horsemen Studios talk about how they manage their schedule and meeting “Outer Space Men” creator Mel Birnkrant for the first time.
- and Scott Neitlich of Mattel gives us the low down on all the new Mattel reveals, how the JLU tail end figures were saved and the story behind the MOTUC 30th Anniversary figures and Lt. Spectre.

This might have been the first ever podcast from Toy Fair. Loved the first part banter.
Damn you, Daniel! You are making me want to pick up the Outer Space figures.
Keep up the great work! Your podcast is the highlight of Monday.
Great podcast! It’s always fun to think of properties that would make good toys. For years my #1 has been The Last Starfighter. I even have it broken down into two action figure waves.
Wave 1
Alex Rogan in Starfighter gear
Grig
Xur
Commander Kril
Vehicle: Gunstar
Wave 2
Trailer Park Alex Rogan
Centauri
Beta (before he looks like Alex)
Zandozan
Vehicle: Star Car
Ahhhh. ‘Last Starfighter!!’ That’s a great call. I’d love to see figures for that movie!
Nice suggestion Lon.
