Happy President’s Day everyone! We hope you all survived the Russian meteors and had a good week. We made it back from our travels and are full of news and opinions of Toy Fair 2013. You can see all of the pictures Daniel (and Jason Geyer) took here in the Action Figure Insider Toy Fair 2013 galleries. Make sure you pay special attention to this gallery from an up and coming new company called BifBangPow! Those kids are really going places and had some fantastic new items on display!
There’s a TON of stuff to talk about for Toy Fair 2013, and we start that conversation this week. I’m sure there will be much more to say about it in the weeks to come as we all process what we saw.
In addition to our regular weekly pop culture chat we also have two brand new interviews from Toy Fair 2013, first up is NECA’s Randy Falk talking about all of their new offerings (that Robocop Ed 209 is SWEEEET). Then we have a conversation with Eric “Cornboy” Mayse about all things Four Horsemen, including Castle Grayskull, Toy Fair and where they had to go to track down the rights to do their ‘Power Lords’ line.
In this episode we discuss:
- - Harrison Ford/Han Solo strongly rumored to appear in Star Wars Episode VII.
- - Bad Robot interested in making movies with Valve of Half-life and Portal.
- - Rhythm & Hues files for Chapter 11
- - CW renews Arrow, Supernatural and Vampire Diaries
- - Toy Fair news and thoughts
- - Man of Steel at Toy Fair

Hey guys! Always a good show. As limited as views were on the Man of steel figures I have been pleased by what I’ve seen from the USA Today shots but of course those are optimized paint masters. I do wish they had at least added the ab crunch joints to these guys. That’s one of the most dynamic points of articulation; especially to a figure that flies. I’m sure they saw it was cancelled out by those damned vinyl capes… I know… Me too… But as far as Zod’s various incarnations remember that we don’t know what all time frames we witness Zod in action. He does atleast do battle with both generations of El. That may be an answer to that. I still plan on working my figures over as soon as I get them in hand. I plan on having an ‘El of a surplus.
Keep em coming,

Funny thing about Peter Dinklage playing Bolivar Trask, the character appeared in X-Men The Last Stand played by Bill Duke. And let me say the two actors do not share much of a resemblance. Looks like another continuity error to bug the heck out of Jason.
