I agree with the overlapping viewpoints on the Man of Steel trailer though. It did seem more like an extended teaser trailer teaser. The tone has to be set of course, some hint of the origin has to be dropped, you have to see the man fly, no, don’t tell me the whole plot I don’t want to walk away knowing that I got burned again that all the most spectacular parts were already in the trailer, BUT I am eager to see every bit of new info on this movie up to the release. Superman’s my guy, he’s America’s guy, he is apple pie and mass consumption! Please hire a Brit to bring this to the world!!! While it may struggle to top the Avengers, it will no doubt right all wrongs that Superman Refunds handed to us several years back. It was like going to see a Zeppelin Tribute band; He had the moves… even looked like him from the back row, the music was flawless… but all in all it was a $5 substitute for the $100 show. It was a fanboy dream turned consumer/studio nightmare. This one however releases the weekend of the Superman Celebration in Metropolis Ill, just a day drive from Memphis so I’ll be in proud company that weekend. It should make for quite an experience.

BUT…. This potential Disney issued Star Wars set has turned my head. Hopefully this is still in concept phase and not what I’ve seen ala Google? It looks like there is a set of figures loosely matching that description posted just this week that looks to be built from various marvel legends and fodder parts… I think the Emperor is even sitting on Kirk’s captain’s chair? I’d just like to lend a helpful eye that the source of those may be in the fictional context of a Custom Figure contest built on the premise of “What if”…

Now ThreeA’s Star Wars figures? Take my money today! Those are fantastic.

Angry Birds… The Movie…
My wife has several of the AB games on her lifesource(iPhone) and I’ve played it and I’m sure there’s a story there but when I invision a movie based on that I equate it to the depth of a porn plot just about. Take the beak, shove it in the pork, round of applause and we’re on to the credits. I almost feel like a movie with a release date of 2016 based on an app is almost set up to be forgotten more than to be anticipated… that’s my shiny penny on that.

I AM a Rankin Bass man. I don’t know that there are any I despise… some have not aged as well as others. I think the toughest one to get through (not a Christmas one) is Mad Monster Party. That CG Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys from 2002 is not great either.
