•  About The Show

Then, from the delightful to the bizarre: the UK Dentist who bought John Lennon’s tooth announces plans for it… and his plans are probably weirder than you think.

logoWith episode 100 behind us we move on to episode 101, which I consider to be “well into our 100’s.”     Thanks everyone for all the great feedback on Episode 100.   We enjoyed reading all of the comments.

Now we hope to back on a more regular schedule.   By the time you read this and hear this episode we already have the next one in the can so look for it this time next week.   It’s mostly been the news of Letterman retiring next year that has thrown us off our game.   I’ve just found it so hard to get out of bed in the mornings since the announcement.   But I must soldier on.   It’s what Dave would want.

Everyone remember to turn your phone onto vibrate before listening to this episode.

In this episode we discuss:

All that and more in Episode 101!

HAPPY 100!!!!

We’ve been talking about it so long it’s hard to believe that it’s finally here – Episode 100.   As we’ve mentioned before the idea for Jason and I to do a podcast together was born out of an interview, and aside conversation at SDCC 2010, and from there it has grown into “the little podcast that could” with well over 100 hours of original content and listeners all over the world.   As a 100 episode treat, here are a couple of behind-the-scenes photos from that very conversation/interview that birthed what would become the GEEK SHALL INHERIT podcast:

This episode is our first ever 3-way conversation as we are joined by the unbelievably talented Alex Ross.   When we first started talking about doing a podcast over 2 years ago Alex was at the top of our guest list.   We couldn’t be happier that he was able to take time out of his busy schedule of creating incredible art and fully painted comic book covers to spend almost two hours with us for our big 100th episode.    Everyone knows that Alex likes to speak his mind and that is still true as he joins in our reindeer games on the podcast.   Part of the episode is an interview with Alex and the rest is Alex participating in discussing the other topics of the week in pop culture.  It’s really rare to have Alex to be a part of a podcast with just free form conversation and I think you’ll have as much fun listening as we did talking with him.

This time I’m not even going to give you a topic list of what we discuss in the episode.   Just listen for yourself and enjoy the journey.

Special thanks as always to my lovely co-host Mr. Lenzi for 2 years of great geek talk.  Thank you to Alex Ross for being a great sport and taking the time to participate (you are welcome back any time).  Thank you to my lovely bride Abby for cutting together all 100 episodes.  Thank you to Danny Neuman for our 100th episode logo! And most importantly thank you to all the listeners!   We wouldn’t still be doing this without you and all the great feedback that you have given us over the past 2 years.

Enjoy! And here’s to the next 100!

logoHappy 100 Eve!   Here we are, 2 years later about to hit episode 100!   But let’s not get ahead of ourselves yet.  We still have a full line up of pop culture chat here in episode 99 for you to enjoy.

I’m back from Toy Fair and my trip to the frozen north.   How do you people live that way?   Actually it wasn’t so bad while I was there, but I get why everyone is sick of the weather at this point.   I saw so much great stuff at this year’s show, and it was great to catch up with everyone. .We’ll cover some of the great 2014 reveals now and some next episode.

In this episode we discuss:

All that and more in Episode 099!

This episode is dedicated to the genius of Harold Ramis.  Thanks for the inspiration and all the laughs.

logoIt’s that time of year again, when someone decided 111 years ago to hold an annual trade show for toys in New York City in the middle of February, and just like clockwork there’s some sort of snowpocalypse, polar vortex, winter storm, record snowfall event gripping the city.  And once again I’m heading east to freeze my ball-joints off just for the opportunity to cover and see all the latest and greatest in plastic pop culture goodness.  Yes.  Toy Fair 2014 is here!

But to help you pass the handful of hours before the avalance of news and images start, we have a brand new episode to help keep you all warm!

In this episode we cover:

All that and more in episode 098!
