Justice League HeroClix release focuses on the new 52 – And Rocks!
August 24, 2012

They’ve been out for about 10 days, but I only got my brick on Wednesday.  Yes, a brick.  That is the term for buying 1/2 of a case of HeroClix, sealed.  The Justice League set is single figure blind boxed, with 21 different figures: The starting cast of the new Justice League, Justice League Dark, the other solo heroes in the Justice League group of books, and a few surprises.

This is how it looks before you open it.

Inside are 24 individual boxes, saran wrapped into groups of 6.  Each batch of 6 is expected to contain 3 common, 2 uncommon, and 1 rare figure.

Here is the first one I opened, Deadman.

In my first batch, I got Firestorm (Ronnie), Superman, Mera, Flash, Enchantress and Deadman.   Not a bad group at all.  I’ll try to come back and feature more of them as I open them.

Other figures in the set include:

Batman Wonder Woman Aquaman
Green Lantern Cyborg Green Arrow
Cyborg Firestorm(Jason) Fury
Zatanna Mindwarp Madame Xanadu
Shade The Changing Man John Constantine Deathstroke

For previews of many of the dials in this set, you can visit HeroClix.com. And Happy Collecting!

Erik "Superfriend" Skov
"Gathered together from the four corners of the universe." Oh, wait, that's the show, not me. Erik "SuperFriend" Skov never actually got to appear on the show, although he did watch it every week. Erik spent 6 years working for Hasbro in Pawtucket, RI before leaving for a job that paid more (Why else would a collector leave the company that was making Star Wars, Transformers, and while I was there Batman). I used to post all over the net. These days I tend to hang my hat at AFI.

Nice!!! How much are these going for at retail? Should I be afraid to ask?

    • Erik superfriend says:

Usually 2.99 each. You could(can?) get a brick like this on line for about 50$ plus shipping – which adds about 10$. I paid my local gaming and comic store 60$ plus tax for my brick.

    update
I’ve opened 5 more and gotten:
Fury(rare), Mindwarp (unc), Mera(common), Cyborg(common),Green Arrow (common). Fury is massive, the sculpt on Green Arrow is awesome.

  • There are many action figures on the market. If you purchase the best toy, this will encourage the development of emotional, physical and motor, mental and social aspects of your kid. This justice league set of action figures promote heroism to your child. In this sense, these figures encourage kids to do good to others.

These are actually kind of small for young kids. While I agree with your basic sentiments about buying toys of heroic characters, table top miniatures are not really for young children. I’d suggest actual action figures.

These look pretty good. Can we get a pic of Fury?

I’ve now opened the whole box. I got everyone except Aquaman, Firestorm(Jason), and John Constantine. I’ve already traded for Firestorm(Jason). Very happy with what I got. Love the sculpts overall. I’ll try to take some additional pictures soon.
