Lego: DC Comics Super Heroes Justice League Vs. Bizarro League Review
February 9, 2015

Today  I’ll be taking a brief look  at Lego: DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League Vs. Bizarro League the direct to video movie, whew that’s a long title…In the movie the Justice League (made up of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Guy Gardner) face off with Bizarro versions of themselves which quickly leads to them teaming up against the greater threat of Darkseid, all done in the signature Lego format.

I quite enjoyed this title and have been a fan of all the Lego animated movies to date. Now it must be said that The Lego Movie has set quite a high standard for Lego animated films but since this  is direct to video I can temper my expectations and just enjoy it for what it is, a commercial for  really cool DC Comics Lego sets that’s pretty well written.

If I had to compare  this one to previous installments of Lego DC Comics specials I would have to rank this one as the best so far. I found the TV special Lego Batman: Be-Leaguered to be okay and the stand alone Lego Batman movie  before that to be disappointing (it seemed to be made up of cut scenes from the Lego Batman video game franchise). This new movie is a stand alone story that had nothing to do with the new Lego Batman video game and had a touching story between Bizarro and Superman at it’s heart.

I would recommend the movie to DC Comics fans as well as Lego heads. There is a special edition of the movie that comes with an exclusive  Batzarro Lego Mini-Figure that is great. The movie is available Tuesday, Feb. 9th at all major retailers. A fun watch for kids and parents alike. Special thanks to Lizzy Manno for sending along a review copy!
