The JudgeDiamond Select Toys and Collectibles, LLC (DST) is proud and excited to announce the latest Buffy the Vampire Slayer action figure promotion, and this one is sure to please fans of the critically-acclaimed series as well as toy collectors.  Just as Spike and his vampire henchmen did in the series, next spring fans will be gathering pieces of a blue-skinned demon in their quest to “Assemble the Judge!”

Packaged with the upcoming Oz, Drusilla and Robin Wood action figure line, each figure in this assortment will contain a piece of the ancient and powerful demon known as the Judge – allowing fans to build their own Judge action figure!  The assembled Judge was sculpted by Rudy Garcia and will be in scale with past releases.  In addition, each piece will be articulated, resulting in a fully functional and free action figure made with a total of six unique pieces.

“We know fans want more villains for their favorite characters to battle and this was a natural extension of our Buffy plans,” says Michael Leavey, Marketing & Sales Supervisor for DST.  “For this particular demon, the build-a-figure aspect was truly appropriate – especially because characters did the same thing in the show’s second season.”

“Diamond Select is ‘spot on’ here by developing a villain-centric line to emulate the storylines from the second season. The battles, conflict and confrontation are central to the series thematic arc—and whenever product can reflect the content itself—the more appealing and authentic it is to the Buffy fan base. We are optimistic that the ‘Assemble the Judge’ series will genuinely appeal to both fans and collectors” said Michael Peikoff, Vice-President of Domestic Licensing for 20th Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising.

While further details are not yet finalized, fans and retailers can rest assured that all of the Judge pieces will be readily available upon the series’ release.  For more information and to check for updates, please visit www.diamondselecttoys.com

November 10, 2006 (SEATTLE) - WizKids Inc. announced today that the
entire U.S. print run of Marvel(tm) HeroClix(r): Supernova has sold out
from its warehouse. The ninth Marvel HeroClix expansion releases
worldwide November 15, 2006, and has been eagerly anticipated by fans
and retailers alike.

"The buzz on Supernova building up to, and then as a result of, the
Prerelease on October 28 has been spectacular," said Joe Hauck, EVP of
Sales, Marketing and Product Development at WizKids(r). "This news is
particularly exciting because it represents an increase in sales from
our previous Marvel expansion, Sinister. Our authorized hobby game
distributors are getting full shipments of their original orders, which
should satisfy consumer demand at retail."

A contributing factor to the product sell-out was the success of the
Prerelease tournaments. At the Supernova Prerelease, fans were
surprised by the surprise appearance of four Marvel Zombies figures -
HeroClix pieces based on a popular Marvel comics miniseries. The four
figures are packaged in roughly one out of every 100 Boosters, and
include monster cards to make them compatible for play in WizKids' new
HorrorClix(tm) collectable miniatures game (CMG).

Supernova also contains new versions of previously produced and popular
figures such as the Silver Surfer(tm) (sculpted in a classic Jack
Kirby-style pose), Thanos(tm) and Thor(tm), god of thunder. High point
values and figures representing characters from the current Civil War
and Annihilation storylines in Marvel comics make Supernova a good fit
for both game and comic book stores. For more information on HeroClix,

Brand Launches Fun Interactive “Behind-the-Scenes” Web Site at Bandai.com

BanDai LogoCYPRESS, CA – November 8, 2006) – From the creators of the Power Rangers toy line – one of the most successful action figure brands of all time – comes the new Ben 10 lineup from innovator Bandai America Inc. Based on the popular Cartoon Network series, these one-of-a-kind action figures, role-play and other toys have quickly become the next big thing among young boys who love reliving the fun alien adventures of one very cool 10-year old boy.

A testament to its initial success, Bandai America’s toy line has been experiencing tremendous retail sell-through since its launch this past summer. In fact, it debuted as one of the top 10 action figure properties during the month of August, according to market information company The NPD Group (based on dollar volume in the Action Figures & Accessories Supercategory).

“When we first saw Ben 10, we knew it was a great opportunity to design something new and different for the action figure category,” said Michael Riley, vice president of marketing, Bandai America. “With our strength in both action figures and role-play, we’ve created a fresh way for boys to play out the adventures that they see on their favorite Cartoon Network series—and the response from fans has been nothing short of spectacular.”

“Cartoon Network and Bandai America have taken the action and adventure that the Ben 10 series is known for and created toys that bring the excitement of the show to life for our fans,” said Christina Miller, vice president of U.S. consumer products for Cartoon Network Enterprises, the network’s global merchandising and licensing division. “We’re very happy with the reception the toys are getting from consumers.”

Following the stellar retail launch, Bandai America is now debuting a unique Web site to support its toy line. The site, accessed via Bandai.com, features a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration for the toys, exclusive interviews with the show’s director of development Tramm Wigzell and supervising producer Alex Soto, alien character biographies, games and downloads. In addition, kids can see all the Ben 10 toys up close in a cool three-dimensional display that highlights the “Omnitrix,” the alien device that has permanently attached itself to Ben and transforms him into all the different heroes so he can save the day using extraordinary powers.

Great news from Diamond Select Toys!

Brood and Skrull
The best-selling Marvel Select line will contain a very special two-pack next year featuring Toy Biz’s own previously unreleased Brood and Skrull figures!  Originally planned as part of the phenomenally successful Marvel Legends line, these alien legends have been brough back from the brink of annihilation and will hit stores next spring.

Featuring the same articulation and attention to detail as previous Marvel Select figures, these alien warriors are no match for Earth’s heroes.  Whether invading the X-Mansion or infecting Wolverine with their eggs, the Brood are as treacherous as they are bloodthirsty – making for a very explosive combination!  Less threatening but just as deadly are the Skrull, a race of intergalactic warriors bent on the destruction of the Kree – and any who dare stand in their way.

“When these figures were originally cancelled, fans made their wishes quite clear.  Since Toy Biz sculpts and develops our Marvel Select line, it was only natural to inquire about the availability of these particular goons,” says Michael Leavey, Marketing & Sales Coordinator for Diamond Select Toys.  “So far the response has been great, and we’re definitely looking forward to similar opportunities in the future.”

With a suggested retail of $19.99, be on the lookout for these cosmic soldiers in comic book and specialty stores next spring!
