 January 31, 2007 (SEATTLE) — WizKids Inc. announced today the release of HorrorClix™: The Lab, the first expansion for the insanely popular HorrorClix collectable miniatures game (GMG).
HorrorClix: The Lab combines bizarre creatures from across sci-fi horror worlds, including alien greys, dinosaurs, misshapen experiments and, of course, zombies! The set also features exciting new plot twist cards, victim tokens and abilities, with a total of 96 new monsters to collect, some of which can turn victims into their servants using the minion mechanic.
“Traditionally, when your monster slays a victim, the victim is simply removed from the map,” said WizKids® EVP of Sales, Marketing and Product Development, Joe Hauck. “Now you can slay the cheerleader then make her slay the world.”
HorrorClix: The Lab is available in Booster Packs (MSRP $7.99) that each contain four random figures, four matching monster cards, one plot twist card and one victim token. Each HorrorClix: The Lab case includes enough prize support for four weeks of in-store events, with an additional 12 weeks provided FREE from WizKids though Diamond Comic Distributors, Alliance Game Distributors or ordered from the WizKids retailer In-Store Play website.

 The latest New York Comic Con exclusive from Diamond Select Toys & Collectibles LLLC (DST) is none other than the Star Trek: Nemesis Geordi La Forge action figure! Available only from DST during the convention, this exclusive figure will be limited to only 1,701 pieces!
Continuing the Star Trek: The Next Generation movie subset, La Forge is one of three remaining figures based on the feature film uniforms. With First Contact Data and Nemesis Beverly Crusher completing the series in 2007, this New York Comic Con exclusive will be a must-have for fans and collectors.
“Our growing Star Trek line has delivered some great figures already, but the Nemesis Geordi La Forge marks its first Next Generation convention exclusive,” said Michael Leavey, Marketing and Sales Supervisor for Diamond Select Toys. “With such limited numbered available, you can bet this exclusive will be the star of the show.
Born without the use of his eyes, Geordi La Forge overcame his disability first through the use of a V.I.S.O.R. or Visual Instrument and Sensory Organ Replacement. Later replaced with the ocular implants featured on this exclusive figure, he has proven himself to be more than a capable pilot and an exemplary Chief Engineer.
Available only at the second annual New York Comic Con, which runs February 23-25, the exclusive Nemesis Geordi La Forge features a hand-numbered packaging design with individual numbering on each figure. Sculpted by Art Asylum, this seven-inch exclusive figure is in scale with past releases and features 16 points of articulation.

HeroClix® and Pirates of the Spanish Main, announced today the Pirates at
Ocean’s Edge constructible strategy game (CSG) set, which continues the
mystical fantasy world of Pirates of Davy Jones Curse.
Pirates at Ocean’s Edge features new sea monsters like titanic crabs,
prehistoric sharks and awesome sea dragons, which plague the unknown waters
at the edge of the globe. Pirates everywhere have begun using junk ships
from the orient, swift windcatchers and sturdy catamarans. In addition,
treacherous whirlpools make navigating the high seas a challenge that only
the most skilled pirate would attempt.
"Pirates at Ocean¹s Edge maximizes the fun of constructing incredible sea

card, game rules and one mini-die. Two-player Mega Packs (MSRP $8.99) each
contain a combination of five ships and/or sea monsters, two whirlpool/island
cards, two crew or treasure cards, game rules and two mini-dice.
Also releasing in April are oversized Pirates at Ocean¹s Edge Tins and Value
Boxes. Each Tin (MSRP $14.99) contains four Pirates at Ocean¹s Edge Game
Packs and random, exclusive Special Edition Pirates of the South China Seas
game pieces. A free sample pack of the Pirates CSG Online game is also

Four Horsemen Toy Design (http://www.FourHorsemen.biz) has kicked off the 5th round of voting for their FANtastic Exclusive 2007 project (http://www.FANtasticExclusive.com) and they want you to tell them how to do their jobs!
 In previous rounds of voting, action figure fans have decided on such topics as favorite property, character selection, scale, and articulation. In Round 5 accessorizing is the name of the game. And they’re not referring to a nice necklace, or a pair of shoes to match a purse.
They’re in the mood for something a bit more…violent!
Since the fan-chosen Elephant Swordsman’s weapon of choice is of the bladed sort, action figure collectors will now have the opportunity to help chose between eight different sharp and pointy little numbers. Only one will become the third deadly weapon, joining the ranks of the two scimitar inspired razors the Seventh Kingdom’s: Elephant Swordsman normally wields.
Through fan discussions on the Four Horsemens’ FANtastic Exclusive message boards, the Four Horsemen have designed eight weapons inspired by the FANtastic FANatics’ suggestions.
Fans discussed evil weapons such as the Broadsword, the Scimitar, the Katar, the Chakram, the Katana, the Khukuri, the Battle Axe, and the massive Buster Sword, and now one will be chosen!

This February 2007, HeroClix players will choose sides in the Marvel HeroClix Civil War tournament between Captain America’s rebellion forces and Iron Man’s pro-government army.
Each player will build a 300-point army, which must include either 1 Captain America or 1 Iron Man sculpt. Then the battle begins! This tournament can be run in conjunction with previously scheduled HeroClix events in February. It is permissible to construct an army from sealed boosters, as long as the above restrictions are met.
 Retailers who run and report the Marvel HeroClix Civil War event can win an exclusive “Stark Industries Game Table” from Gale Force 9, a full set of Supernova’s Marvel Zombies and more great prizes! 8 runner-up retailers will win Marvel Zombies and HeroClix Limited Edition figures. To qualify, retailers must run and report the event by February 21, 2007, the street date of Marvel Comic’s Civil War #7, and the conclusion to the storyline that’s shaking up the Marvel Universe!

 JANUARY 23, 2007 - Diamond Select Toys & Collectibles, LLC (DST) is proud to announce a licensing agreement with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group to manufacture action figures and ships based on the SCI FI Channel hit original series, Battlestar Galactica. Reimagined by Ronald D. Moore, Battlestar Galactica tells the story of the last survivors of mankind and their quest to escape the murderous Cylons in their search for the mythical 13th Colony, Earth.
"With Battlestar Galactica, it was an incredibly easy decision to make," said Diamond Select Toys Marketing and Sales Supervisor, Michael Leavey. "We quickly added it to our library of properties and, as with our Star Trek and Stargate lines, we immediately began building a whole universe of Galactica products.”
Battlestar Galactica premiered as a mini-series in 2003 to rave reviews from both critics and fans of the classic property, setting viewership records for the SCI FI Channel. Leaving much of traditional science fiction behind, the new Battlestar Galactica instead focused on character-driven conflicts and the series’ epic storytelling style as viewers followed the triumphs and hardships of the Colonial Fleet.  Hot on the heels of the JLU reveal below, the new Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End figures have hit ebay. This first assortment features all-new sculpts of Admiral Norrington, Gibbs, Marty (with Jack the Monkey), Sao Feng and "Sneak Peek" Elizabeth and Tai Huang repackaged. There is also another Jack Sparrow and Prisoner Will Turner.
