Yeah, it’s an old gag, but still what could be better than seeing all new themes for this year’s toy panels?!?

Sure, we’ve all seen the roundtables. We’ve all heard the same anecdotes. So this year we changing it up with…slightly fresher anecdotes! And hey, where the heck are Thundercats, anyway?

Then hit up our panels, Poindexter, and get the scoop straight from the Horsemen’s mouth! And also check out the postcard below that we’re throwing all over the joint this year. It’s purty!

Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?  The Action Figure Licensing Panel

Saturday, JULY 256:30-7:30pm
ROOM 30AB
Are retro licenses hotter than new ones?   Are video game properties the new cash cow?  The Direct Market, mail order and the Internet have all changed where and how you can find your favorite toys.  Does Wal-Mart control what characters get made?  Can a license without a media tie-in make it in today’s crowded market?  Is the collectors market making a difference or is it still “all about the kids?”  Come ask any burning question yo u’ve ever had about the action figure business and be a fly on the wall as some of the top names in the industry sit down together, as they only do once a year at this event, and talk toys. Panelists include: Georg Brewer, DC Direct; Jesse Falcon, Marvel Comics; Randy Falk, NECA; Scott Neitlich, Mattel and Frank Supiot, Kotobukiya. Moderated by Daniel "JuliusMarx" Pickett of ActionFigureInsider.com.
