James Dalton is a professional "cooler" (head bouncer) with a mysterious past, who is lured away from his current job in Los Angeles by Frank Tilghman to work at his club, "The Double Deuce" in Jasper, Missouri. With a philosophy degree from New York University, a proficiency in martial arts and a preference for resolving confrontation peacefully, Dalton is part buddhist monk, part Socrates, part rocking Mullet, but 100% whup-ass!
Well, Patrick Swayze fans and hockey-hair enthusiasts alike can rejoice, because Toyrocket is proud to announce that it has aquired the exclusive rights to produce 7-Inch Action Figures of the characters in the 1989 cinematic tour-de-force and cultural oddity that is Patrick Swayzes "ROAD HOUSE." Called "the single greatest American film ever made" by MST3Ks Mike Nelson, ROAD HOUSE lives amongst the greatest films of all time, including CITIZEN KANE and BIG-TOP PEE WEE.
Series 1 is scheduled to include Dalton (Swayze) Wade Garrett (Sam Elliot) Brad Wesley (Ben Gazarra) and a one per case chase variant bloody Dalton. (Only the Dalton prototype is available for images at this time.) Series 2 is tentatively scheduled to include a shirtless Dalton, Doc (Kelly Lynch) and because Dalton needs some punks to slap around, Morgan (WWE Star Terry Funk) and Tinker. Also be on the lookout for a deluxe set featuring Wade Garrett on his motorcycle! (Admit it…you used to collect figures like this in prison.) Series one is slated for release early 2010, with Series 2 to be announced. Pain may not hurt, but the sting of missing out on these action figures will never truly heal.
