Once again our pal Toy Guru from Mattel updates us on the answers to our monthly burning questions:

Q1: What are the prices for the NYCC exclusives?

A:  Knightshadow Batman, Black Suit Superman and Tech Suit Mr. Freeze will be $10.00 each or all three for $25.00

Q2: Mattel, will you please create a new blank torso for the Shayera Hol figure so that we can have a flat-footed blank female body for the JLU/DCAU line?
It would really make a big difference in making many future female figures (and some re-releases of existing ones, like Ice, Katma Tui and Barda) on model.

A: We’ll keep this in mind as we move into 2009 figures! Thanks for the suggestion.

Q3:  Can we get a new Superman JLU head sculpt? I know the original head is modeled after his JL season one design but his head has been redesigned since season 2 and all of JLU.A new head sculpt for Supes would be an easy (and cheap!) new figure!

A: It is unlikely we will do a new Superman head sculpt unless it was for a specific version of Superman(such as perhaps a Savage Superman from when he meats Vandal Savage in the Future). We have a limited tooling budget for the JLU line and are doing our best to make every dollar count. (would you rather have a new head for Superman or a coat for The Question?) These are dilemmas our engineers deal with every day! In the end we hope collectors and fans will be pleased with the characters we are able to offer for a show that has been off the air for a few years now!

Q4: Any way to budget out a collect & connect in the 12" “Giants of Justice” line so we can get an even BIGGER figure like a HUGE Giganta, Atom Smasher, etc.?

A:  Because we already having a tooling plan to create 10 inch JLU figures, it is much more likely that if we were to do Atom Smasher or Giganta in a larger scale they would be part of the 10” series.

Q5:Thanks for the support behind JLU, it was fantastic to hear the line was continuing… Just to Clarify….the 16 new figures will be spread out over the twowaves correct? So, will it be roughly 8 new figures per assortment?

A:  Not exactly. The second wave will have more "new" characters then the first wave. It will not be 8 and 8.
