Matty from MattyCollector.com and ToyGuru. sent us the answers to our latest round of questions.that AFi readers have posted in our forums.

Q1. The Public Enemies figures look great, but my Brimstone is woefully incomplete! When can we expect to see wave 2 with Black Lightning and Major Force hit stores? Also, why was the decision made to split this series up into two waves?

A1: The series was split into two waves to continue the line at Target through the end of 2009. The remaining pieces of Brimstone will be packed with Black Lightning and Major Force in Wave 2. Wave 2 will also include a redeco of Batman and Superman (who will both include the same Collect and Connect piece as their wave 1 variants).

Q2. I’m very happy with the Public Enemies line, and you said that we may see more if they sale well, but what if the 6" sale great but the 3 and 6 packs don’t, will that hurt fans who want to see more 6"animated figures and vise versa?

A2: I will look at all of the Public Enemies figures in both scales to evaluate which scales collectors are more interested in for future DVD executions.

Q3. With regards to body types in DCUC: You have used a young male teen body for Beast Boy, Tim Drake Robin and Kid Flash, will you have a Teen female body to go along side these, and also, will you be making an older male teen body (that would come out as the same size as the wave 3 Sinestro body) for making older teen versions of characters? I’m basically wanting to know if we’ll have a young version of the Titans, and an older Perez version of the Titans that is in between the small body and the adult body.

A3: There are no plans for an older teen body quite yet, but it doesn’t mean it is out of the cards forever.

Q4. I know there are other DC Superfriends collectors and fans out there besides my self, what is the chance of this line living on past Robin and Hawkman? Is there any chance of us getting some easy reapaints like Prof. Zoom,Bizzaro,Riddler, or a Hal Jordan GL? Will we EVER see a Wonder Woman done in the chunky Super Friends style? Convention exclusive maybe?

A4: I am looking into future Superfriends figures aimed at collectors. Nothing to announce yet, but Mattel designers are hard at work.

Q5. Mattel, have you considered adding a Collect-and-Connect figure to the JLU Singles line as a way to attract and/or increase Retailer Interest in the singles portion of the line? Afterall, it seems like a good way for retailers to get some sell-through assurance; justify price increases; and incorporate into the line some of the larger scaled figures the fans have been requesting for a long time, like:

S.T.R.I.P.E, Kalibak, Atom Smasher, Amazo (in scale), Mongul, Clayface, Brimstone, Annihilator, MR. ATOM, Hades and I guess now, we could add a Giganta-sized Apache Chief to the mix!

A5: I have looked into this, but would prefer to do the larger JLU figures as a whole figure like Doomsday or Grundy.

The next round of questions have already been turned in, but if you want to get in on the NEXT round we need your questions by Saturday Nov.28th.  Remember they can be about any Mattel product including MOTUC, Ghostbusters and Cars.  You can submit new questions in this thread.

You can find our past Q&A’s here. And you can discuss the answers at our Mattel board.
