Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora set for release in August 2007
 

TEMPE, Ariz. –McFarlane Toys has announced that Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora are the latest musicians to join their expanding collection of music action figures. The figures will be released in August of 2007 and will retail between $10-12. 

“Bon Jovi is one of the most consistent and recognizeable rock bands of all time,” says McFarlane Toys CEO Todd McFarlane. “Not only did they rock stadiums and arenas during the 80s, but they have also been doing it in the 90s and now. We are looking forward to reproducing the likeness of Jon and Richie and bringing them to the fans.”

Over the last two decades, Bon Jovi has earned the respect of the music industry and the loyalty of legions of fans around the globe.  They have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and have performed in excess of 2,500 concerts in 50 countries before more than 32 million people. 

Their third album, Slippery When Wet (1987), helped propel the band to superstardom as it soared to number one on Billboard’s 200 Top-Selling Albums chart.  The album included the smash hits “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Livin’ On a Prayer” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.”

 The group landed numerous other Top-10 albums such as New Jersey (1988), Keep the Faith (1992), Cross Road (1994), These Days (1995) and Crush (2000). 

In 2005, Bon Jovi released their ninth studio album, the multi-platinum Have A Nice Day, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard albums chart and yielded the number one single, “Who Says You Can’t Go Home.”
