The good folks at Hot Toys know how much we love their incredible 1:6the scale figures – and now they with the release of Marvel’s Iron Man 3 the are looking for us to take out a second mortgage on our homes!   They are cashing in on the Hall of Armors concept with 3 new movie accurate offerings:

Iron Man 3 is about to hit the theaters very soon and as you’ve probably seen from the trailer, a number of new suits will be introduced in the movie.

Today, we are excited to announce 3 of these suits are first to join Hot Toys’ 1/6th scale collectible product lines: Heartbreaker for MMS Diecast Series, Igor for MMS Series, and Red Snapper for PPS Series.

We’ll be bringing more suits into our different series, so fans please stay tuned for more in the future!

Twice a month the gang from Mattel are kind enough to answer five questions from AFi readers.  The Mattel marketing and PR team, have replied with the answers to our latest round of questions that AFi readers have posted in our forums.

Here is our latest round of questions and their answers:

Q1. What retailers should fans expect to carry the Batman Classic 1966 TV Show figures?

A1.  The Batmobile is a Toys R Us exclusive.  The other items can be found at Toys R Us and other fine online retailers.

Q2.  What is the designer-signed figure you are offering us a chance to win? What line is it from? Do we get to choose it?

A2.  This will be an existing figure. Details have not be released yet, stay tuned!

Q3.  Is the Batman Legacy Justice League (DCnU Brave & Bold) line going to continue? There were quite a few figures that could be included into the line (Firestorm, Atom, Shazam, Black Manta, Blue Beetle, Joker, Grodd). Maybe some new figures?

A3.  You’ll have to wait and see!

Q4.  Normally we see the SDCC exclusives in April.  Are we still on track for that this year?

A4. We hope so. It all depends on when we get samples in that are photo ready.

As if the Marvel Universe couldn’t get more exciting than it was, the universe-wide reshuffling known as Marvel NOW has made things even cooler in the MU! Not only are we seeing team-ups we’ve never seen before, we’re seeing brand-new looks for some of the universe’s biggest heroes. Opening Globally Today, the “Fan Built Bot” Poll Kicks-Off Celebration of the Iconic Brand’s 30^th Anniversary by Allowing Fans to Create New Transformers Character

Pawtucket, R.I. (April 18, 2013) — For the first time in history, the Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) TRANSFORMERS brand is inviting fans of all ages around the globe to help create a new TRANSFORMERS character that will be forever added to the TRANSFORMERS world. In anticipation of the TRANSFORMERS’ brand 30^th anniversary in 2014, the “Fan Built Bot” Poll kicks off today, and will run through May 5^th on TRANSFORMERS.com/vote. Hasbro invites fans to vote daily to shape this new TRANSFORMERS character. The new character will be made into an action figure featured in the “Thrilling 30” line of toys to celebrate the anniversary.

Hasbro is giving kids and fans the opportunity to make the “Fan Built Bot” character with votes determining everything from being an AUTOBOT or DECEPTICON—to its vehicle or other mode, color, personality and more. Kids and fans are encouraged to vote daily!  Also, to keep with the theme of the fans being the ones who really shape and create this new TRANSFORMERS character, Hasbro will also give fans a say in the naming of the new character.
