Next up in our look at Hasbro’s Iron Man 3 offering are the “Assemblers” line. These figures appear to be inspired by Hasbro’s Star Wars ‘Droid Factory’ build-a -figure concept, but instead of having to collect parts with other figures you get everything you need in one package and can build from there. These are 4″ figures have 5 points of articulation, including, semi-ball jointed head, ball jointed shoulders and hips.
Swap parts for hundreds of superhero combinations with the amazing Assemblers Interchangeable Armor System! Each figure comes with 2 interchangeable limbs and a missile launcher. But unlike other Iron Man figures, these arms, legs and head detach! Build them the way you want for your next adventure. Swap parts from other Assemblers figures (sold separately) for even more incredible armor combinations. Built the ultimate in Iron Man technology with this awesome wave of figures!
There are 6 figures in this initial wave. The line up of wave 1 is: IRON MAN Mark 42, IRON PATRIOT, STARBOOST IRON MAN, STEALTH TECH IRON MAN, WAR MACHINE and HYPERVELOCITY IRON MAN.
Today we will take a look at the Mark 42 Iron Man, Iron Patriot and War Machine figures from the first assortment.

If you don’t follow NECA’s Twitter feed and Facebook page then you are missing out on a world of news and information. They are constantly giving an inside look at their products with WIP shots, how the packaging is coming together and what came in the mail from the factory on a given day. All that plus they are constantly interacting with the fans and answering questions.
Last night they posted this Work In Progress shot updating us all on the status of their quarter-scale 1966 Adam West figure with the caption:
Since Toy Fair we refined the head & added multiple pairs of hands. Super poseable too.
And if you look closely you might see a tease at another potential tie in figure in the same line that hasn’t been announced yet sitting on the work bench. (And a ton of fun customs)
We here at AFi are super stoked for the opening of Iron Man 3 in the US this Friday. To celebrate all week we are going to be showing you a selection of the vast array of of iron awesomeness that Hasbro has put together for fans of all ages available on line and at most retailers.
Today we are going to start off small. Not just small, but MICRO! For Iron Man 3 Hasbro has shrunk down the fan favorite vinyl concept past Mighty Muggs, past Mini Muggs all the way down to Micro Muggs!
Micro Muggs are 2″ static figures with no articulation and a built in base that are repainted to resemble several characters and armors from all three Iron Man films and are sold blind boxed. These tiny, spunky, chunky Iron Man figures are ready to do battle with the forces of evil! There are 24 designs in this first series with characters ranging from Tony Stark, Whiplash, drones and a wide variety of Iron Man armors. There does not appear to be any secret or “chase” figures in the line. They ship in cases of 36 individually packaged figures (purchase of case pack does not guarantee all 24 unique characters) and are sold individually at most retailers.
Iron Man Micro Muggs are available in stores right now.

For decades, those words were synonymous with comic books in the mainstream media, thanks to the fan-favorite depiction of comic book images in the DC Comics 1960s Batman Classic TV Series. Today, Diamond Select Toys (DST) is proud to announce it has teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), on behalf of DC Entertainment, to create high-quality collectibles based on the TV classic, including busts and statues.
“The Batman Classic TV Series was on my TV constantly while growing up,” said Chuck Terceira, director of DST. “Working on these characters is a dream come true. I know there are a large number of fans out there who feel the same way about the show, and we will give them the collectibles they’ve always dreamed of!”
Diamond Select Toys has multiple product categories supporting the Batman Classic TV Series license, including busts, statues, vinyl bust banks, bottle openers, and slate artwork, and development on their line of collectible busts has already begun. Character likenesses attached to the DST line include Adam West as Batman, Burt Ward as Robin, Julie Newmar as Catwoman, Frank Gorshin as The Riddler, Burgess Meredith as The Penguin, Cesar Romero as The Joker, and several other famous villains on the television show. DST will also draw on the show’s many distinctive props and sets for new products in the line.
“The world of the Batman Classic TV Series was so fully realized, the designs so iconic, the cast so beloved that I can see us creating distinctive, exciting product for a good, long while,” continued Terceira. “And as a lifelong Batman fan, I look forward to slowly turning my office into my own personal Batcave, full of collectibles that I have always wanted to own. I may never leave!”

All-new 6” Turian Cruiser ship to hit shelves in November!
MILWAUKIE, OR, APRIL 30–One of the cornerstones of both Dark Horse’s publishing and product line in recent years, has been the massive video game franchise, Mass Effect.
To date, Dark Horse Deluxe has released four different ships, as well as limited edition variant, and high end editions. Up next is the Turian cruiser, which bears some slight resemblance to the Normandy, due to the cooperative effort between the Turians and the human race in the Alliance ship’s construction. This race in Mass Effect, are members of the Citadel Council, well known for their military role, and their contribution of starships to the Citadel Fleet.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support gamers have given our Mass Effect ship replica series,” Dark Horse’s David Scroggy remarked, ” and look forward to continuing the line with this latest release. We have been working directly with the Mass Effect game design team, interfacing with them to obtain the exact 3D design specs that ensure accuracy of detail.”
Each Turian Cruiser Replica package will contain an insert card, with a unique code, that will enhance the Mass Effect game experience for individual consumers.
Look for this exciting new release in Diamond’s Previews catalog shortly, with a release date set for November 6, with a retail price tag of $34.99!
