One of the last big license to be revamped for modern audiences is Thundercats, and it’s had a long, convoluted road to getting here. 

We toured the Bandai showroom and saw all the great toys for the new series on Cartoon network and were very impressed; the Bandai rep knew his stuff about the property, the sizzle reel they showed was quite impressive, and had some really nice concept art for the new series, and most importantly, they showed two 8" prototypes of Classic Thundercats that paid appropriate respect to what fans wanted to see in a revival.  And hey, look! Snarf is driving a tank!

Time will tell how good the cartoon actually will be, but they plan on pushing out quite a lot of product in 2011, with the potential to go really deep in 2012.
