I had heard tell of this, but I finally saw it this week with my own eyes at my local Toys R Us–  In a very forward thinking move on their part, some Toys R Us stores will begin taking in-store PREORDERS on some action figures and collectibles. The pegs you see in the picture to the right will hold order slips you can take up to the register and preorder figures you want.   

As I understand it, this will start off as a test in certain stores to see if it will work.   I’ve heard the preorders will be for some of the new collectible lines that TRU now carries from manufactures like NECA, DST and DC Direct.  

If it works, this will be a great idea and another way that TRU is setting itself apart from other "big box" retailers.

I plan on testing it out.  If your store is doing this also we’d love to hear about your experience with it. Also if you see the slips go up we’d love to know what figures will be available for preoder in this first round.  Just head on over to the forums and let us know what you are seeing.
