7 grown men in a vehicle dubbed the "Van of Action"?
This stuff writes itself, folks.

Seriously, tho.
SP Mantis and Steppenwolf are the definitive versions for me, as the SP line was mi introduction to numerous characters.

Also, can you confirm NO LANTERNS with the two individual Green LANTERN figures?

Man, I'd just be happy to see something like that around here in Northern Virginia. A bazaar where they sell action figures. Only 2-3 comic shops that carry action figures in good stock. 2 shops in Maryland at around 2 hours commute round trip, that have a ton of DCUC but nothing past Wave 7 it seems. I'm sure they'll be cleaned out by next weekend after the Xmas shoppers hit! mUAHAH

I can't say I blame you, though I have paid high prices for DCUC in the past at my local comic speciality shop (I got impatient waiting for the Giganta wave to come out a few months back, so I bought all the figures there for $16.99 a pop--but that's about as high as I'm willing to go).

But the wait is definitely worth it! I came upon the Walmart exclusive Wave 10 at one of my local Walmart stores here in Nashville and got the whole set. Thus far only one other Walmart in the area has carried any of them!

Wave 11 hasn't hit here in Nashville yet, but I hope we'll get them here before Christmas. It's really hit-or-miss around here finding them; sometimes Target will surprise you (theirs are still cheaper at $11.99, as opposed to Walmart's $12.97). I've given up on Toys-R-Us; my local TRU has had the same two Captain Cold figures collecting dust on the pegs for about 4 months!

Quit complaining about prices! Don't you see that JLU 3-Pack marked cheaper than Target's current $11.99 sale? :D

Seriously, that's too bad. I am thankful I usually find what I want at retail, minus Sports Picks chase figures, and can avoid our local flea market scalpers.

Say "hi" to Flash Ah-ahhh! for me. He was over at my house years back to pick up some acrylic cases during one of my various absences from collecting. Nice guy.

I haven't been by Frank and Sons since 2001 or so. My former manager at Kay Bee Toys and I would always run into a Hot Wheels scalper who haunted our store on truck day. This guy made his living practically through reselling our merchandise. One comic book dealer sold me an issue of Suicide Squad once. With a distinct Aussie accent, he assured me that "this one features the first appearance of the information provider." Um, that would be Oracle/Barbara Gordon? I just thought it was funny that he couldn't name the character even as he was hiking up the comic's value.

Last time I saw the Hot Wheels guy, he needed a liver transplant or something. That place always surprised me for one reason or another.

Nice. Shame scalpers can do that, but if Mattel made higher quantities that wouldn't be a problem. Don't feel too bad though, I'm still on a quest for DCUC 8, 9 and 10! Much less stuff that's just hitting.
