The other day I got a review sample of the Club Infinite Earths DC Signature Collection Starman figure. As I was taking pictures I realized that while I appreciated the extra, unmasked head he came with I was never going to display him with that head. So what other uses are there for a spare 6″ scale bearded head?
I grabbed my Ghostbusters Walter Peck figure, boiled and popped his head, popped on the new Starman head. Then I just needed a wheelchair. The first one I thought of in that scale was the Toy Biz “Xmen” movie Professor X. I knew I had one, but it was in storage somewhere. That weekend I had Cantina Dan in town staying with me so we hit up Frank and Sons and I found a loose one for $4.
Put them all together… and I’ve got a nice little custom Niles Caulder to lead my DCUC Doom Patrol.

Nice work I was going to do that myself!! Now all you need is a piece of cloth to go over his legs and your done.
Nicely done Julius. I’m a big believer that some of the very best customs are also the simplest. He turned out great, and fits in perfectly with the rest of the group. Well done!
Awesome, lets hope Mattel has a similar idea, the wheelchair could be reused for Oracle as well
Holy crap! That ever look killer! Great “recipe”.
“does that ever look killer”, is what I meant to write. Yeesh.
Nice work, and great idea. After I read your review of Starman I got a Por X wheelchair, my extra head (painted the hair and bear ginger) and I used Harvey Dent with some light blue felt for the blanket on his legs.
Looks great!
cool work for he looks exactly the way the chief should look like in plastic . and the chair could if when mattel gets around to do the chief can then be used for Oracle . nice to see the doom patrol together
It would have been nice to get Elasti-Girl instead of Rocket Red.
(Sorry Rocket Red fans.)
