About this project

Four Horsemen Studios’ Mythic Legions series 2 Kickstarter is a project that continues to diversify and expand the world Mythic Legions. With your support we can ensure that series 2 can go into full production, and that this amazing new addition of figures can end up in your hands!

Mythic Legions is an expansive fantasy world of action figures created by the award winning Four Horsemen Studios. The action figure line currently consists of an endless variety of characters ranging from heroic warriors and knights to evil skeletons and even giant trolls. Our Kickstarter for series 1 of Mythic Legions was a phenomenal success, which has allowed us to expand the line with several releases since the first campaign. But now the time has come for a major expansion to the line which will allow us to bring female characters of all types, all-new races like elves, and hopefully much, much more to the already wide-ranging breadth of characters in the line. As always, interchangeable parts and accessories give fans the chance to create and build their very own custom characters. These exquisitely detailed and highly articulated figures also offer collectors the opportunity to build the legions of warriors that they have always dreamed of. Mythic Legions finally brings limitless possibilities to the world of premium quality fantasy action figures.

Our team has spent years and thousands of hours meticulously sculpting, fabricating, and painting to create the spectacular prototypes for this line. This project is a passion project for all of us here at Four Horsemen Studios.

These will be in the same approximate 6” scale all previously released Mythic Legions figures.

Most figures have 30 points of articulation

Each figure is fully accessorized and ready for battle

Interchangeable heads and armor pieces allow for simple mix-and-match customizing

The regular edition figures have intricate paint schemes that complement the meticulously sculpted details.

Legion Builder figures with simpler paint schemes provide an affordable way to bolster your legions.

We have created 13 all-new prototypes for the initial assortment plus 4 different styles of legion builders, and two spectacular deluxe figures. Each figure features a unique look showcasing the tremendous detail and gorgeous paintwork that was put into each of these characters.

Of course we didn’t want to stop there when we are trying to expand the line in such a meaningful way, so we’ve also created a fantastic array of stretch goal characters that we hope to unlock with your help. We have also put together a variety of add-ons so that you can customize your order into your own perfect assortment. The shipping costs are included in all of the prices, and using the add-ons will help bring your overall shipping costs down.

Fantastic Exclusive Winner: This figure will be completely decided by you- the fans! All aspects of this character will be voted on concurrently with this Kickstarter, and the final results will be available right here! Please visit for more details, and to help shape this sure to be amazing figure.

Daniel Pickett
Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett has been around toys his whole life. The first line he ever collected was Mego’s World’s Greatest Super Heroes line back in the 70s. He has been surrounded by collectables ever since. In 1999 he was confounded by a lack of information and news about some of his favorite toy lines he was collecting. Since he couldn’t find the information he decided to pursue it himself thinking other people might also be interested in the same news. He started writing a weekly column on the toy industry and action figure for a toy news site and in a years time he tripled the sites daily traffic with his updates, reviews and product features. He built relationships with every major toy manufacturer and many sculptors, painters and mold makers. He grew his hobby into a world wide expertise that the industry has embraced. In 2004 he teamed up with his toy buddy Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer and they created their own website Daniel has been quoted in both industry and mass media press outlets. Over the years Daniel and AFi have been sought out as experts in the field. Daniel was regularly featured on “Attack of the Show” on the G4 network as the primary contributor to their “Mint On Card” segment, and our front page has been linked to from USA Today’s “Pop Candy” Blog twice. Daniel’s content has also been featured on,, The Wall Street Journal, The Saturday Evening Post,,,, Boing-Boing,, Ain’t It Cool News, the Official Star Wars blog, Geekologie, G4, CNet and Toy Fare magazine, among many others. He has consulted on toy lines, books, documentaries and TV shows. But all of that really just sounds snooty and “tootin’ his own horn” – the long and short of it is that Daniel loves toys and he LOVES talking about them.
