... As Palisades Toys officially unveils Army of Darkness (TM) Series 2

That's the only word that can be used to describe Palisades Toys' second series of action figures based on director Sam Raimi's 1993 film, Army of Darkness . The film - a cult favorite in theatres and on DVD - follows the adventures of Ash as he is transported back in time to 1400 A.D., where he must fight an army of Deadite soldiers led by an evil version of himself, and retrieve the Necronomicon (the Book of the Dead) to return home.

Now you can continue to build your own Army of Darkness at home, with Palisades' second series of fully articulated and eye-poppingly detailed 4-inch scale action figures. But this time around, there's a twist...   Because Army of Darkness Series 2 has forgone the 2-packs of the previous series, and will be packaged individually in blind packaging! That means, you won't know which figure you're getting until you open it - making collecting even more fun!! Each box will include a figure with great new accessories and figure bases.

Mattel Overseas Exclusive- Batman AEROBAT

While the 6" Comic themed Batman line wasn't getting the respect is deserved here in the states, it is still going great guns in the european market. In addition to a few european figure assortments (most of which should make their way back to US fans through comic shops) Mattel decided to develop a mid-sized vehicle for that market that would hit a mid-range price point and include a figure.

The Aerobat is similar in design to the removable side car cat comes with the Mattel Batmobile. It has a one man cockpit that a standard batman figure will fit. It is a three wheeled vehicle with pop-out/retractable wings, firing projectiles and the duel vehicle modes of flight mode and speed mode. It comes with the Four Horsemen sculpted Zip-line Batman as a pack-in figure.

While it is a made-up vehicle, the coolest feature on the Aerobat are the spoke-less rear wheels. It's packaging is roughly the same scale as that of the mid-sized vehicle line found here in the states.

Elkridge, MD (April 15, 2004) - There are not a lot of ways to kill a vampire.   While decapitation and exposure to direct sunlight will do, the preferred method of most Vampire Slayers throughout the ages has always been a good old-fashioned wooden stake through the heart.   Of course, any sharp and pointy wooden object can be used- a pencil, a table leg, a pool cue - but there's just no substitute for a well-whittled stake to rid yourself of that undead pest.

Soon, you can bring home a stake of your own, as Factory X's Slayer's Stake is currently shipping from the factory.   A striking prop replica that pays tribute to the Slayers who've kept the world safe from evil all through the millennia, Factory X's Slayer's Stake is made of actual, hand-carved wood.   The piece itself comes in a handsome satin-lined, black wooden box, adorned with an attractive brass plaque, and the inside of the lid features the now-famous words, "Into every generation a Slayer is born, one girl in all the world, a chosen one..."

While the artisans at Factory X had numerous stakes to choose from, they opted to replicate of one of the earliest stakes used on Buffy the Vampire Slayer .   Featured prominently in the show's first season, this stake was also used extensively in promotional shots for the show.
