Inspired by the motion picture, "Batman Begins," this special Batman action figure captures a "pre-suit" Bruce Wayne as he prepares to don the legendary Dark Knight gear. Batman utilizes a Kevlar utility harness, a NOMEX survival suit for advanced infantry and a gas powered magnetic grapnel, among other gear. Peer through the lens of a cowl-shaped front window or a bat-shaped moon roof to see the accessories that come with this figure. Little Apple Doll fans will be excited to hear about the arrival of Creo and Pestis - the Little Apple Doll exclusive at this Summers' USA Convention circuit. A maximum of 2500 will be made available worldwide and will debut at San Diego Comic Con on July 14th. Little Apple Dolls are a visual combination of foetus/toddler and skeleton. Their faces are not fully formed. They are without key facial features which may render them monstrous yet they are creatures of beauty. They look the way the do because they inhabit the place in between life and death. They are meant to represent a border: they are not dead but they are certainly not alive. In the Inbetween everything is with and without life. Fans of Series 1 & Series 2 have been both seduced and disturbed by the dolls, created by artist, Ufuoma Urie. Series 1 are the founders, particularly Sine who gave Little Apple Red a persona in its own right. Little Apple Red acts as a protector of souls and guardian to the children, or rather the dolls. The Little Apple first came to life in photographic works artist Ufuoma Urie had created that explored myths to do with creation and destruction. The symbol of the wounded "pin-cushion" apple as an inanimate object who is capable of showing emotion as hero/saviour/sacrifice began to feature prominently in narratives that Urie had written. As a symbol in myth, fairytale and religious texts, the apple has represented temptation: an alluring yet tainted object not appearing as it seems: that which is desired which ultimately unsettles those who come into contact with it !

Diamond Select Hits The Books With Buffy Library Playset!
Building on the success of its Buffy the Vampire Slayer action figure line, Diamond Select Toys is proud to announce the Buffy Library Playset due out this November. Based on the central headquarters of Buffy, Giles and the rest of the “Scooby Gang,” fans of the show will no be able to recreate their favorite scenes as well as display their Buffy action figures as never before.
The highly-detailed Library Playset features a split-level design based on the Library’s blueprints. In addition to the intricate railings and banisters, the Library also includes a clear window embedded in the wall and several movable bookcases. Fans and collectors will be able to add their own accessories to the Library shelves and table in addition to the included globe, candlesticks, bottle and plants, allowing for a customized interactive display. DOFP Wolverine Figure Next in Line for Marvel Select
The next action-figure release for the Diamond Select Toys’ Marvel Select Line is the Days of Future Past Wolverine. This Wolverine figure was second in last years Wizard voting and has long been desired by many fans.
The collectible figure will include a wanted poster wall accessory with Kitty Pryde phasing through it – as seen on the cover of The Uncanny X-Men #141. The release, which will be in scale with past Marvel Select figures, is due to be in stores for this holiday season.
Look for the latest Marvel Select Release, Emma Frost to hit stores this week, with the Symbiote Spider-Man figure to be available in early July.
An AFI Exclusive- JLU Phasing Martian Manhunter
AFI brings you an exclusive look at the first chase figure in Mattel's Justice League Unlimited line.
*Updated*- Great news! We just got word from Mattel that we have a better shot at this figure: This colored translucent "phasing" Martian Manhunter will appear this fall as a single carded figure in the JLU line. He is a “chase” in the fact that he will be produced in lesser quantities than the normal line, but he will still be in every case so us die-hards will all still have a shot at getting one. This figure represents the Martian Manhunter’s ability to turn intangible and pass through solid objects as he does on the show.
The figure will come with this "power-punch" fist accessory.
