OK kids, the new Super Friends: the Legendary Super Powers Show DVD hits stores today and on it they have a nifty little feature on the Super Powers toyline. The fun part of all this is that I’m one of the on-camera talent involved (alongside luminaries such as Mark Waid, Georg Brewer, Paul Levitz and Gerry Conway), and also recreated the logos and graphics for WB to use. Additionally, most of the toys shown are from the collection of our very own Julius Marx, who accompanied me to the shoot! I’m a bit glassy eyed though, as I hadn’t slept in 2 days and went to LA and back in the same day to shoot this. I kept zoning out during taping, so I’m pleased I come across as semi-coherent.

I’m pleased to say that a fair amount of solid info on the line was included in the doc, although I talked for over 30 minutes in the interview and went much deeper into the subject, including some "4th wave" info that didn’t make the cut. But still, it should introduce a new generation of kids to the greatness that is Super Powers and cement its status as the iconic DC toyline.

So what are you waiting for? Go watch it!
