Pre-NYCC Scoop: Sneak Preview of Go Hero/Executive Replicas/Phicen’s #NYCC14 Reveals
October 7, 2014

Here it is!  An AFi exclusive sneak preview of an INCREDIBLE line up of new products coming from the team-up of Go Hero, Executive Replicas and Phicen.  The gang at Go Hero was incredibly generous and is letting us reveal the list of prototypes they will be debuting this weekend at NYCC 2014.  You can find them all at booth # 341.  Stop by and see them, and tell them AFi sent you!

If you are at all familiar with the previous work of these teams you KNOW you are in for a rock solid, high end representation of all of these characters, people and licenses in 1:6th scale.   Honestly… if you have ever held one of their 1:6th scale figures or seen them at a show… you’ve never seen their equal… especially from a US company.     This list is jaw-droppingly awesome!!

Go Hero returns to the New York Comic Con with partners Executive Replicas Inc. and Phicen Ltd. Visit our booth as we debut several new works-in-progress, prototypes, and license announcements for “First-Ever Figures”! Meet Go Hero’s creative team behind the award winning licensed and original designer collectibles.

Here is the list of 1:6 scale prototypes Go Hero/Executive Replicas/Phicen have on display at NYCC.   The photos below are for reference only.  It DOESN’T mean this is the version or costume of the figure that will be shown.   We won’t know that until the show this weekend, but we WILL have pictures from the booth and we will keep you updated!  So just so we are clear… these are just photos of the names on the list that I came up with… we aren’t getting a naked Stan… but I suspect you can strip him down if you REALLY want to.

And now the list of new 1:6th figures coming soon:

Daniel Pickett

Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett has been around toys his whole life. The first line he ever collected was Mego’s World’s Greatest Super Heroes line back in the 70s. He has been surrounded by collectables ever since.

In 1999 he was confounded by a lack of information and news about some of his favorite toy lines he was collecting. Since he couldn’t find the information he decided to pursue it himself thinking other people might also be interested in the same news. He started writing a weekly column on the toy industry and action figure for a toy news site and in a years time he tripled the sites daily traffic with his updates, reviews and product features.

He built relationships with every major toy manufacturer and many sculptors, painters and mold makers. He grew his hobby into a world wide expertise that the industry has embraced.

In 2004 he teamed up with his toy buddy Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer and they created their own website www.ActionFigureInsider.com.

Daniel has been quoted in both industry and mass media press outlets. Over the years Daniel and AFi have been sought out as experts in the field. Daniel was regularly featured on “Attack of the Show” on the G4 network as the primary contributor to their “Mint On Card” segment, and our front page has been linked to from USA Today’s
“Pop Candy” Blog twice. Daniel’s content has also been featured on MSNBC.com,
Wired.com, Fark.com, Boing-Boing, Gizmodo.com, Ain’t It Cool News, the Official
Star Wars blog, Geekologie, G4, CNet and Toy Fare magazine, among many
others. He has consulted on toy lines, books, documentaries and TV shows.

But all of that really just sounds snooty and “tootin’ his own horn” – the long and short of it is that Daniel loves toys and he LOVES talking about them.

impressive list . as for not being able to call their astronauts from 2001 a space odsey take it they don’t have the rights to do so. thus just astronauts. or are waiting for the rights holder to give them the okay

  • yes i am looking forward in the new lost in space action figures. i already have the ones from sci-fimetropolis professor john robinson major don west the keeper and dr. zachary smith. i also have the model of the robot 1:6 scale model . i made all three seasons. the sad thing is that the model kit comes with two sets of arms retracked and exstended i would like to see moebius models put flexable ones in the kit so that the modeler could do both pose the arms retrack and exstend. also heard thatere is going to be a remake of the series by kevin burns and the writer of dracula the untold story. as i say in closing long live lost in space.

  • i use to watch lost in space when i was a kid back when it was orinally on the air also i was told by winston dunlop that there is going to be a set of the figures in their silver flight suits including dr. smith and the robot.
