Sneak Peek: Ridemakerz Unveils Official Iron Man Vehicle (1:18 Scale)

RidemakerzLogoWith the new Iron Man 3 movie release just a couple weeks away on May 3rd, Ridemakerz has just unveiled the newest vehicle in their garage – the official 1:18 scale Iron Man RIDE!  Kids will be able to build their own authentic, scale-sized Iron Man replica RIDE to race around the house and reenact scenes with custom accessories to trick-out their cars.

The team at Ridmakerz gave us this special sneak peek of the brand new Iron Man 1:18 scale RIDE with customizable accessories before it’s official retail release on May 24th.


The 1:18 scale Iron Man vehicle will retail for $38.00, and the Remote Control option is an additional $25.00 – a fully-functional Iron Man R/C vehicle will be approx. $63.00 in total. After selecting a model, fans or “Customizers” can build their RIDE with kid-friendly power tools and trick them out with a wide range of accessories – tires, wheels, lights, sounds, accessories and decals. Kids can upgrade the RIDE with a radio control option for enhanced play experience. The durable, molded plastic cars and trucks are 1:18 scale (about the size of a football) and assemble quickly and easily with snap-in, snap-on parts. All parts are interchangeable across bodystyles so kids can customize and trick ‘em out over and over again.

Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett has been around toys his whole life. The first line he ever collected was Mego’s World’s Greatest Super Heroes line back in the 70s. He has been surrounded by collectables ever since. In 1999 he was confounded by a lack of information and news about some of his favorite toy lines he was collecting. Since he couldn’t find the information he decided to pursue it himself thinking other people might also be interested in the same news. He started writing a weekly column on the toy industry and action figure for a toy news site and in a years time he tripled the sites daily traffic with his updates, reviews and product features. He built relationships with every major toy manufacturer and many sculptors, painters and mold makers. He grew his hobby into a world wide expertise that the industry has embraced. In 2004 he teamed up with his toy buddy Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer and they created their own website Daniel has been quoted in both industry and mass media press outlets. Over the years Daniel and AFi have been sought out as experts in the field. Daniel was regularly featured on “Attack of the Show” on the G4 network as the primary contributor to their “Mint On Card” segment, and our front page has been linked to from USA Today’s “Pop Candy” Blog twice.
