OK, so I’ve been pretty lax on introducing my millions of readers to much needed Bollywood glory. But maybe the long wait for a new clip has been worth it.

I’m not exactly sure how they did it, but I think Bollywood (Russia? Azerbaijan) somehow was able to film Michael Bay’s actual dreams. This is everything he wishes he could do in real life, but just can’t muster that much awesome in one container. Be prepared for your mind to explode! (And they even throw in a Wilhelm Scream!)

Whoa….I have long been a fan of Bollywood movies, but this one is really over the top. Indian cinema is always visually striking. Most of the films I’ve seen are either historical dramas or romances, but it would seem they’ve gone all out with a sci-fi extravaganza that has its tongue firmly in cheek. Haven’t figured out why there is this annoying Russian translation voice-over though.

And true to form, this Bollywood epic, like just about every other Bollywood picture I’ve seen, is full of musical numbers!! A quick search of YouTube found a clip with three from Robot, all entertaining.

    Thanks for sharing.

Oh. My. God. I have no idea what I just saw. But I wanna see more. lol

It’s called Enthiran, which is Hindi for Robot. I was in Singapore when this opened last fall, and just never got around to seeing it. It was a massive hit and was playing around the clock, and even then I might’ve been fighting for a seat.

Now I’m kicking myself because this footage looks fun as hell. Dang!

And to think I used to think the “Tractor Fight” was the most bizarre Bollywood action scene ever…

That opening bit with the horse is pretty nutty though…

Man, YouTube is really going viral with this one going by the number of comments. It’s (if it could possibly be described) kind of like a cross between a really crazy, extended Super Bowl commercial and the ultimate Jackie Chan movie. The guy who stars in it (Rajinikanth) is the second highest paid actor in Asia, after Chan himself. And he’s 61 years old! Crazy stuff!

Who wrote this post, and do they think “Bollywood” is Russian/Azeri?
