I think this is an epic fail all around.
Not only does the packaging look phoned in, the figure itself is garbage.
This is no more “Mego-like” than any of the other wanna-be’s that have come and gone over the years.
All this is, is a smaller Big Jim like body with a Mego Green Arrow head. The hat doesn’t fit right, the gauntlets look ridiculous, the legs are laughably too thick, and the boots are way too big. Top that off with the stupid boxing glove arrow, and you have to ask yourself; Why did they even bother?
I also think that using the Mego Green Arrow head on a Mattel body is just insulting. Back in the 70’s, Megos were king, Big Jim sucked.
To hybrid the two is just a recipe for disaster.
This is NOT a Mego. To me it’s nothing more than what it is,”Lame-o”
I actually owe you guys a world of thanks. From what I’ve been hearing, I might have ordered this sight unseen. You just saved me 30 bucks.
I am very happy about this figure. It has awsome details,and features. I can not wait untill spring 2010!
i know this is really early,but anyone know what the next wave is? i hope batman&robin.
i have recived my green arrow yesterday,and i must say,as i said before,the figure is great! the legs are a little bowed,but other than that,i really like it. when it was announced that mattel was coming out with these,i was very happy. i have been collecting mego’s for several years. this is i hope,a LONG line of more to come. MEGOFAN, i hope that you have mabee changed your mind alittle,since green arrow has come out. being a mego fan,collecting,and just plain megonuts,too the furture………..
My Green Arrow arrived about 10 mins ago.
Love the new body.It looks indestructible. His legs are a bit chunky & bow legged.
& his gauntlets r a litte big. But that just adds to the mego quirkyness (the oven mitts on batman, robin, aquaman).
I’m impressed & cant wait to get a green lantern.

I HAVE RECIVED MY GREEN ARROW. I REALLY LIKE IT,BUT I DO NOT LIKE THE SUIT MATERAL.SOON AFTER I TOOK HIM OUT,I HAD A RUN IN HIS LEG,AND WHEN I CHECKED OUT HIS ARMS,ANOTHER RUN SOON WAS THERE. I AM NOW GOING TO ORDER ANOTHER,KEEP IN THE PACKAGE.OTHER THAN THAT I REALLY LIKE IT. I AM JUST HAPPY TO FINALLY SEE THESE AWSOME TOYS MADE AGAIN.I AM ALSO HAPPY TO SEE THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET THE 1ST WAVE IN OTHER PLACES THAN JUST TOYS ARE US.
Yeah it would have been better if they’d used lycra(the same material toy biz used on their 9″ line famous covers) as lycra doesnt ladder.
My Green Arrow costume hasnt laddered only because I havent really messed with it. It’s just displayed on my shelf.
Dr mego does an excellent repro Green arrow costume for about $15 (although you can buy a new mattel green arrow for $20).
Any idea when Green lanterns available?
