How's Your Toy Fair?

Hey AFI readers,

As I type this we are two days into the toy industry's biggest event...the American International Toy Fair. Coverage has been flying fast and furious all over the net. There's plenty more to come, too, including pics and news from AFI's own Julius Marx and ToyOtter who are currently onsite.

Do you like what you've seen so far? I know a lot of folks are upset over lackluster showings from Hasbro for Marvel Legends and Mattel for DC Superheroes and Justice League Unlimited. Some are wondering why Legion of Superheroes is MIA at the show.

It seems that companies are showing less and less at Toy Fair these days. Bandai, who's got a monster hit on their hands with their Ben 10 line, barely showed any new product.

Even with the disppointments there've been tremendous highlights. Marvel Toys' new Legendary Comic Book Heroes line looks amazing.

I think the most amazing thing about this year's Toy Fair coverage is, to my knowledge, none of the major sites have crashed yet! (oh, I probably shouldn't have said that)

Message boards at all the toy sites have been churning with posts...positive and negative. Don't stop now, gang. There's plenty to talk about and
more to come!
